About Us

HPCL Shapoorji Energy Pvt. Ltd (HSEPL), was incorporated as 50:50 joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and SP Ports Pvt Ltd (SPPPL) on October 15, 2013, and became a 100% subsidiary of HPCL on March 30, 2021, subsequent to acquisition of 50% stake by HPCL from SPPPL. It is now a Public Limited Company and its name changed to HPCL LNG Limited (HPLNG) effective September 10, 2021.

HPLNG, is formed for development, construction and operation of greenfield LNG Terminal with all associated facilities for receipt, unloading, storage and regasification of LNG and supply of regasified LNG to the gas grid. Chhara LNG Terminal will be within the boundary of all-weather direct berthing Chhara port being developed by Simar Port Private Limited (SPPL) under a concession from Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) at Village Chhara, District Gir-Somnath, Gujarat, India.

Considering the projected demand for Natural Gas in the country, growth potential for the Natural Gas sector the Chhara LNG Terminal will provide significant upside in enhancing natural gas infrastructure in the country. The Terminal will also contribute in achieving Government of India’s vision of increasing Natural Gas’s share in India’s Energy mix from 6% to 15% by 2030.

The Company is having Registered Office at Ahmedabad, Gujarat and Corporate Office at Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Vigilance Policy

HPCL LNG Limited, being a 100% subsidiary Company of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Vigilance Policies and Practices of promoter i.e. HPCL are followed and Vigilance Administration of the Company is carried out by Chief Vigilance Officer of HPCL.
